If you struggle with CONFRONTATION, being direct, having an OPINION, or being DISLIKED this is for you!

 --- > When I first started mentoring other run coaches in their businesses I would have them all take the Enneagram 

(Have you heard of it?!)

And what I realized was I was ATTRACTING a lot of 9’s, 2’s, and 3’s. And for the purpose of this post I want to focus on the 9’s. Because that’s what I typed as. 

- - - > 9’s are known as the PEACEMAKERS. They hate confrontation. They tend to ride the middle of decisions and opinions and can see both sides. Their greatest FEAR IS LOSS… and learning to LET GO can do them a lot of GOOD. 

But what I want to focus on for the purpose of this post is on the parts of NOT LIKING CONFRONTATION and not feeling like they have an opinion. 

And I’m going to call BS. 

You don’t have to be a “type 9” to relate to this. Or to have ever taken the Enneagram at all. But if you hate CONFRONTATION, hate CONFLICT, think you barely have an OPINION on things, and hate LETTING THINGS GO this is for you. 

- - - Because I’m calling BS - - -

1. You have an OPINION. Yes you might be better than most at seeing both sides and better than most at talking to people with various opinions. You may very well be a PEACEMAKER. BUT you have an opinion.

You’re likely just afraid of EXPRESSING IT or doing the work of even finding it out at the expense of being DISLIKED. You’d rather blend in and go along with other’s opinion. But you have an opinion. 

2. Starting to VOICE your OPINIONS (even if it’s that you see both sides lol) will do you a lot of good. Not only in your business and in allowing your DREAM CLIENTS and those who need to hear your message to start to find you. 

But also in your PERSONAL LIFE. Those who don’t like or agree with what you stand for will start to drift away. You won’t surround yourself with FAKE ENERGY and those who aren’t really there for you in all avenues of your life 

3. Starting to voice your opinions, and more so I’m going to tweak this slightly and say starting to SAY HOW YOU FEEL and LET OTHERS KNOW how you feel, when you’ve felt DISRESPECTED, when you’ve been TREATED POORLY in your important relationships will not only change your relationships and your relationship with yourself, but it will help you to mentally, emotionally, and physically not feel so bogged down.

YOU. GET. TO. SAY. HOW. YOU. FEEL. The right people will make you feel heard and stay. And those who don’t but still want to stay in your life (such as family) may not like it, but you’ll have expressed yourself instead of only allowing others to sh*t all over you.  

4. CONFLICT isn’t bad. It’s how things get resolved and you move forward. One way or another. NOT SPEAKING UP is actually where you’ll often cause more conflict.

With your clients, in your relationships, in your friendships. 

5. You actually DO LOVE letting things go. You’re just scared of what lies on the other side of letting that person, offer, or identity go. You’re doubting your capabilities to step into her or him. BUT YOU KNOW letting go would do you some good. And you KNOW once you do -you’ll stop feeling the level of STUCKNESS you’ve been feeling.

So dare to be like Elsa ❄️ and LET IT GO 🎶
