"This program absolutely changed the way I look at fitness. No longer is my physical health something out of reach, but instead something tangible that I can feel and see improving with every single session."

MEET YOUR COACH

Hi! My name is Kristen Schulz. I am a physical therapist, run, and strength coach. I have been treating as a physical therapist since 2013 and treating primarily runners since 2019. My philosophy as a coach is one that focuses a lot more on the LONG TERM success than on any one awcomolisjemnt . One that has a focus on strength training and a healthy “balance” of knowing when to PUSH and when to RELAX. A little about my personal running: I picked up running in high school as I needed a third sport. Softball, basketball, and soccer were all my first, second, and third loves and I grew up playing travel ball and with much of my life revolving around sports. However, I quickly fell in love with the sport of running and also found out I had a decent amount talent in the sport as well. I decided to drop my initial goals and offers to play softball in college and decide to run track and cross country instead. I ran XC and track at the D2 program at Northern Michigan University where I was coached by Jenny Ryan. My focus on the track in college was on the mile, 1500, and steeplechase and 5ks and 6ks in cross country where my times were respectively 5:16, 4:51, 11:17, 18:48, and 23:25. After college I had goals of continuing running competivelu. I knew I wasn’t done seeing what my body and mind could achieve in the sport of running. I quickly started experiencing numerous injuries.
